Moonchild Dreams, by Nadia Gerassimenko

"Let us immerse into five imaginary and yet quite believable and relatable mythologies narrated by very mesmerizing Muses. The first to get you plunging are vocal melodies about strength, wonderment, and hope. The second is a struggle between love and its mirrored-self – an inevitable discovery of what true love is and how imitation fails to grasp its pure essence. The third are tales chanted forlornly by Sirens about love and loss and the unattainable, all lost in the abysmal sea. The fourth, less melancholy but profound nonetheless, are words of wisdom to live by from our Mother Nature. And lastly, you come to meet the Moonchild…a part of her inner world and dreams she dared to share."

About the Author
"Nadia never thought she would write. Not until 2004 when she turned 14 that a muse knocked on her door and overwhelmed her with a fiery passion she had to let out. Then she could not stop writing. About hopes and dreams, sorrows, love and passion, childlike philosophies, stories that only happened in her head. Her words were either optimistic or melancholy – a duality she always carried through life. As she grew older, however, she wrote less. Not that the flame ever stifled, she was only looking for a way to convey something meaningful not only to herself, but something that many can relate to. In the beginning of 2015, Moonchild Dreams was born. It is a collection of poems she gathered from 2004 to 2015 that show her evolution as a poetess as well as a person from her early teens to adulthood. Although one can notice her maturation, she still holds onto the dreamy child inside her – a duality she now carries. With this collection of poems, she hopes to touch hearts of the readers with something relevant to their own experiences, struggles, and feelings, and to inspire them to chase their own dreams."

The Most Beautiful Written Poetry One Will Ever Read!
By Danielle Urban
Moonchild Dreams is a collection of Nadia Gerassimenko's beautifully well written poems. A time when her creative poetic form wanted to free to share with the world. Her entire collection will leave readers breathless. The emotions running through me as I read on, is something that every reader has to experience on their own. To each reader her enchanting poems will captivate them from the beginning and to the very end. One poem in particular, A Flickering Light, caught my unwavering attention. It lead me on a path so dreamy and peaceful but also spoke to me about not being afraid to brave enough to face the world around even when things go astray. I know the poem will speak volumes to many readers. As we all face certain situations, where we have felt afraid to brave it through.

Another poem, Demon Heart, will lure readers deep with its meaning. The truthful way of telling how cruel love can be. Love isn't easy nor always as beautiful as we dream it to be. In this poem, readers can relate to the man's heart. How it aches to have the woman's real love and yet, she does not love him. Not for real. And so he no longer believes in love anymore. This is so realistic of what each one of us face in life. Another poem by Nadia, Those Words is one that delves deep into our souls and defines what we have to say but cannot find the words to say it.

These are just a few out of the many countless numbers of passionate, dreamy, and daring poetry within the book. I have found each poem to be truthful. As though they were speaking to just my soul. Moonchild Dreams is an inspirational collection that should be read daily and by every reader. The poetry awakens one's inner being with words that come to life. Vivid images springing forth into one's mind when reading these poems. Nadia's talent is raw and energetic. Her passion comes through each of her stunning well written poetry. I would highly recommend this collection to all readers. Definitely worth one's time to read. Overall, I would rate Moonchild Dreams a five out of five stars.

PoetryThat Tells a Story
By Theresa Lanham
A whimsical blend of child-like fantasy and true emotion, Moonchild Dreams takes you on a lyrical journey riddled with hope, despair, confusion, and peace. Even those not passionate for poetry can easily follow the stories as they are presented by sirens and muses. Although each person interprets poetry differently, this poetry is less abstract than some, and easy to read.

As I'm sure other readers will agree, I found the poems in the book to be very relatable. When I realized the book was a collection of poems spanning over a decade, I read it in a whole new light. I could now see the growth in not only the poems, but the author as well. Anyone going through personal growth can easily relate to the plethora of emotions expressed in Moonchild Dreams. As each page turns, the reader is taken from the elated hopefulness of a child to and anguish no some of life's most intimate moments.

The story, itself, has a nice rhythm throughout the book and is all tied together by the end. The ode to nature is refreshing. Too often we forget to thank Mother Nature for what surrounds us - both good and bad. My personal favorite would have to be the book's namesake, Moonchild dreams. I once understood the need to dream at night after the day has drained you. I thank Moonchild Dreams for reminding me that my dreams are still necessary.

I look forward to future works by this very talented poet.

"...without your waves, I fever,”
By [an] Inexhaustible Magic
Moon Child Dream is an easy read whose poetry constantly strives for musical sounds though some poems end abruptly and without unmusical endings. So sometimes the poems end suddenly and feel somewhat incomplete. At the same time, some of the poems also read like nursery rhymes, they are light, easy to follow, and direct. It makes the idea of love easily accessible and easy to understand for anyone.

There are also some repeated lines and phrases like “Albeit, we will make it through” that hold some of these poems together and give them a solid theme to follow. In the beginnings of the chapbook, there is some parallelism that add structure and meat to the poems.
Present are a few lovely lines like, “For without your waves, I fever,” that turn commonplace phrases into something new and more interesting.

There tend to be few literary devices despite these examples, and those are the backbones of poetry. Since all of the poems are generally very straightforward, there are also not very many original metaphors and no layered meanings, which make the collection accessible to people who would like an introduction to poetry with something that will not make your frontal lobes bleed with complex phrases and multiple meanings.
